In just the blink of an eye, 35 years have passed since the first steps of Mr. Ernesto Coppel Kelly’s dream first became reality. On May 31, 1987, accompanied by then-president of Mexico, Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado, Mr. Coppel Kelly unveiled Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán, the first of what is now a chain of eight luxurious hotels. Next came Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos, expanding the company into a new destination. In the years to follow, he opened two additional properties in Mazatlán, four others in Cabo San Lucas, and a beautiful Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, the Quivira Golf Club. Mr. Coppel’s portfolio now also includes the luxury residential development, Quivira Los Cabos, which continues to grow with new communities and amenities each year.
Listing the milestones makes is it all sound so easy, but the journey has been long and full of challenges. We are so grateful to have come this far and look forward to all that is yet to come. We still have many dreams to fulfill, but our goals are clear, a key component for success.
